NRI is proud to be an industry leader in health and safety in both Canada and the United States. For the past 7 years, we have had fewer injuries than those within our industry and are proud to say we are going on our 12th year in receiving a certificate of recognition in our Canadian environment outlining our organizations commitment to safety excellence.

Workplace safety is a responsibility shared by all team members. We are committed to the well-being and safety of our employees. Our Safety Program is to provide a safe working environment for all our team members. Our primary objective is to create a culture of safety at NRI which will help reduce and eliminate workplace accidents through prevention strategies. Our goal is to have an injury and accident-free workplace.

Management shall ensure that all employees under their direction are made aware of all NRI safety policies, safe work practices, and procedures. We work as a team to identify workplace hazards and will take the appropriate corrective action to reduce or eliminate identified hazards. Our team members are an integral part of this process and are expected to adhere to all NRI safety policies, safe work practices, and procedures as outlined by the NRI Safety Program.

NRI has an unwavering commitment to the health and safety of our team members. As part of our continued efforts surrounding COVID-19, we are assessing risk in all areas daily.

Health & safety committee meetings take place monthly to track facilities and equipment inspections, discuss opportunities, roles and responsibilities.

Every NRI employee and partner has a responsibility to report injuries, unsafe conditions, or environments. In turn, NRI will lead safety, health, and wellness with our Leading Principles in mind which are Integrity, Action, Excellence, Harmony, and Sustainability.
