A Day in the Life
As an Inventory Planning Supervisor, you will play an important part in providing direction to the inventory planning team by ensuring all inventory planning is handled and processed according to client and customer needs. You’ll be working with product from some awesome clients that are heavily involved in the active lifestyle.
What does success look like in this role?
The ideal candidate has effective communication and interaction across all levels of the organization including clients to proactively set up client footprints. This person must have the ability to manage the training and development of a team with an analytical and tactical approach. They must be comfortable to work independently but also embrace collaboration and working within a dynamic, positive, and energetic team.

- Responsible for delegating, providing training and work guidance to others within the Inventory planning team along with cross-training for the development of team members

- Responsible for working with clients to get item forecasted data as well as item masters to use data to plan out optimal slotting/storage footprint.

- Assist with the day-to-day payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payrolls (1,000+ employees) in a high growth, fast paced company
- Maintain the payroll policies and processes; help create and maintain process SOPs
- Process supplemental payrolls and any out of sequence payments such as terminations or corrections
- Ensure the accuracy of the calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and deductions associated with payroll and/or benefits
- Review quarterly/annual payroll tax reports and W2s to be filed by ADP
- Make sure government reporting requirements, regulations and compliance for payroll taxes and withholdings are met
- Inform leadership on law updates to make well-informed decisions on HR and/or financial matters
- Work directly with Finance team to ensure accurate general ledger reporting and reconciliations; includes reconciliation of payroll-related general ledger accounts and posting payroll journal entries
- Maintain unemployment rates with each registered state and ensure accurate and current information is in payroll system; register for new state/SUI/local payroll tax as needed and add jurisdictions in the payroll system as the company expands
- Identify areas of improvements to establish best practices for payroll, including improving the efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial close processes as it relates to payroll
- Assist with annual financial, worker’s comp, and 401k audits by responding to auditor requests as it relates to payroll
- Create ad hoc analysis and reporting when required
- Complete other duties as assigned

- Provides and coordinates training for a new hire and existing NRI employees to ensure training is delivered and evaluated for consistency
- Coach, counsel, and inspire employees to not only meet but exceed required performance metrics
- Aids in creating training programs by assessing skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations, changes in training SOP’s along with continuous improvement projects
- Exhibit and practice positive communications and team-building skills with trainees to ensure a consistently professional environment
- Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to the supervisor or and Safety Manager
- Maintain a training log and all training documentation
- Keeps work and storage areas in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times

- Consolidate shipment requirements based off Customers' request

- Keeps work and storage areas in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times
